For Spellbound: sprinkle or rub directly onto the overhanging licking branch — bark, underside, and surrounding twigs. For Mezmerize: sprinkle into the scrape dirt, surrounding vegetation, rocks, stumps, or any location you want to draw deer to. Both can also be used from your stand as wind checkers — pinch a small amount and release it above your head to read the current thermal while depositing fresh scent downwind.

Power Dust's fine particle size allows it to penetrate bark, soil, and vegetation rather than just coating the surface, so it holds up significantly better than liquid scents in rain and wind. Under normal conditions, plan to refresh every 1–2 weeks, or after any significant rainfall. Deer working the licking branch will also re-deposit and intensify the scent on their own between your visits.
