Crimson clover is a large clover with large crimson flowers. It is one of deer’s favorite clovers. It is considered a winter annual, meaning it can survive the winter and will be one of the only things that is still green in those cold winter months. Crimson clover is very fast growing and needs to be planted in late summer or early fall to be ready for hunting season or later fall to attract deer in the spring.
